XMAS MARKET AND NÎMES W/ ABENA

The first weekend in December 2014, Abena (my friend who’s an American assistant in Spain), came to visit me in Montpellier. The city was spectacular at this time due to the upcoming Christmas/New Years holidays. All over the city decorations were in full flare, and the city center was by far my favorite place to be.

Les Hivernales, Montpellier’s Christmas market, ran from November 28 – December 28, 2014. Some of the delicacies I enjoyed during that time were crêpes nutella, aligot (mashed potatoes and melted cheese blend) with sausage, and vin chaud (hot wine).

On Sunday, December 7, Abena and I took an afternoon train to Nimes, a city northeast of Montpellier. We met up with a fellow American assistant who showed us around her charming city.
